Why unrefined shea feels different

Unrefined shea butter is kept close to the form in which it is traditionally prepared. Its natural colour, nutty aroma and dense texture can vary slightly from batch to batch.
Those variations are part of the ingredient’s character. Warm a little between your palms and the butter changes from firm to silky, making it easy to press into damp skin.
